Echoes of Tradition was an afternoon of vibrant music and cultural celebration at Old Shire Hall. The concert featured an eclectic programme of folk music from around the world, showcasing traditional songs from a wide range of musical cultures.

The repertoire included Cornish folk songs, Irish melodies, American hymns, Indian rāgas, French chansons, traditional Kenyan music, Kievan chant, Visayan folk songs, and more. Audiences enjoyed rich harmonies, lively rhythms, and authentic arrangements that celebrated the unique musical heritage of each region while highlighting the universal power of song to bring people together.

The performance also featured outstanding guest soloists: soprano Evelyn Byford, baritone Gianpiero Greatorex, and percussionist James Jackson, whose performances added depth and colour to this memorable afternoon of choral music.
