In Spring 2023, we invited audiences to join us for an evening of reflective and celebratory choral music marking a moment of national transition.

To honour the end of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, we performed a Requiem by contemporary Canadian composer Eleanor Daley - a thoughtful and moving work that set the tone for the first half of the concert. In contrast, the second half celebrated the coronation of King Charles III with a performance of Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C major (K.317), bringing a sense of ceremony and optimism.

The programme offered space for reflection as well as celebration, and we were pleased to share this significant occasion with our audience through music.
