Concerts & Events

Our Spring 2024 concert marked the 100th anniversary of the deaths of three major composers: Gabriel Fauré, Charles Villiers Stanford and Giacomo Puccini. To commemorate this centenary, we brought together a selection of their choral works that continue to resonate with audiences today.

The programme featured Fauré’s Requiem, Stanford’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in A, and the Credo from Puccini’s Messa di Gloria.

The concert was well attended and gave us the chance to explore works that are both technically rewarding and powerful to perform - a meaningful way to reflect on the contribution each composer made to choral music.
